According to latest report released by McKinsey & Company, the most diverse companies are more likely to outperform non-diverse companies on profitability. The firm’s latest analysis reaffirms a strong business case for both gender diversity and ethnic and cultural diversity in corporate leadership.
“We found that the higher the representation, the higher the likelihood of outperformance. Companies with more than 30% women on their executive teams are significantly more likely to outperform those with between 10 and 30% women, and these companies, in turn, are more likely to outperform those with fewer or no women executives.” Wrote McKinsey & Company
And although companies with strong diversity portfolio are much more likely to outperform, we are still facing problems on gender or cultural base.
For example, during the discussion with members of Women in Trucking, it has been learned that many women won’t stay overnight at a truck stop after they are seen walking back to their truck alone. That’s why it’s so important for company to provide excellent 24/7 support, and we at AAA Freight, doesn’t hesitate on giving everything in our power for drivers to feel safe and supported all the time along the road (and sometimes off the road).
Another big issue that companies are making it that many companies still struggle finding competent drivers, mostly because there is still a lot of prejudice when it comes to hiring minorities, young drivers, women, veterans & etc. One of foundations on which AAA Freight has been built is inclusion, equal opportunity for all & diversity, and it will remain with never-ending improvement towards drivers complete satisfaction with working environment.
